Founded in November of 2000, Onyx Alliance is a non-profit organization based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The organization was formally chartered in the state of Pennsylvania in 2001.
Onyx Alliance is the result of a group of young African-American Pittsburgh residents who recognized the need for an organization providing innovative and progressive movement within Pittsburgh. With a specific focus on retaining and attracting young professional and progressive African-Americans to Pittsburgh and improving their quality of life, Onyx Alliance's membership continues to grow rapidly.
Our primary goals are to meet the needs of our members within these four areas:
- Regional Acclimation and Advocacy
- Professional and Leadership Development
- Professional and Entrepreneurial Opportunity
- Personal Development
