Regional Acclimation & Advocacy Committee
Regional Acclimation connects existing and new residents to their community through OA events and through other members. Members will benefit both professionally and socially by joining Onyx Alliance. We are committed to helping our members find Greater Pittsburgh to be a region where they can be fully successful. Regional Advocacy is how Onyx Alliance will address the overwhelming lack of and/or negative information about the Pittsburgh Region. We will promote the region both within and outside of the city.  We will engage our audience in an honest way that addresses some of the challenges our region faces, but more importantly the opportunity that is available.

Professional and Leadership Development Committee This committee is charged with creating outlets and venues where members seeking professional advancement and leadership opportunities in their respective field of expertise and community have an opportunity to develop and learn in an environment created specifically for our audience. This committee will assist members by providing educational opportunities and partnerships.

Professional and Entrepreneurial Opportunity
Inspiring and promoting Professional & Entrepreneurial Opportunity within our target market is key to making Pittsburgh a more attractive and livable city for younger residents. Professional Opportunity seeks to identify job market growth within our regional market and provides a means by which our target audience and the Region can benefit. Entrepreneurial Opportunity encourages the creation of businesses specifically of benefit and interest to our market.

Personal Development Committee
Understanding the importance of personal development and striving to improve our members intrinsically is integral to the long-term success of our membership. Understanding that many of our members are at a transitional stage in life, we are committed to facilitating the opportunity for members to meet and exceed personal expectations.  If you are passionate about providing ways for people to meet their goals and to become better people join this committee. Seminars and workshops will be held to educate and inform our members on a range of topics.

Membership Committee
The Onyx Alliance membership committee ensures Onyx Alliance has a strong and active membership to continue our organizational work. An engaged membership is vital in regards to continuing our work on existing goals and establishing new ones. Membership and involvement are vital to this organization which strives to give its members a forum and opportunity to become active within the organization.  The membership committee also works with all other Onyx Alliance committees ensuring that members are up-to-date on activities of the other committees and staying connected to the organization as a whole.

Public Relations & Marketing Committee Description
The OA PR/Marketing Committee is responsible for the promotion, public enhancement, and public awareness of Onyx Alliance to its members, prospective members and special interests. This committee is an essential part of our success.  Ultimately, the result of effective public relations and marketing strategy is to generate additional revenue, increase membership through greater awareness and information for the products and services the organization offers, and to spread the word about OA throughout the entire Pittsburgh Region and elsewhere.

Fundraising Committee
Are you a good communicator? Great writer?  Enjoy creating ways to raise money? If so, this is the committee for you.  Next to our members, raising funds is the most important task that Onyx Alliance has to accomplish.  Without financial means we will not be able to provide the opportunities for you or for the city of Pittsburgh.  Join this committee to share your expertise and ideas.
